Creative Dance Classes for Children

Discovery Dance is led by Julie Cauthorn, MS, MSW, who has been teaching dance classes for over 15 years. As a dance therapist and social dance teacher, Julie has worked with people of all ages nurturing playful movement expression.
Spring Classes for Children
SPRING - 7 WEEK SESSION - April 18 - May 31, 2008
Location: Old Redmond Schoolhouse Community Center, 16600 NE 80th St., Redmond, Room 102.
Cost: $75 /session
For: Children ages walking - 4 years. Choose the right level for your child; On the Move (ages walking - 2 1/2 with parent), Stepping Out (ages 2-4 yrs with parent), or Saturdays (ages 1-3 with parent).
When: Once/week Friday or Saturday mornings.

I. DISCOVERY DANCE - ON THE MOVE
Active toddlers (ages walking - 2 1/2 with parent) join in playful exploration of dance through movement, rhythm making and song. Childen develop body awareness, motor skills and creativity in a safe, friendly environment. All you need is comfortable clothes, bare feet and readiness for fun!
7 week session:

II. DISCOVERY DANCE - STEPPING OUT
We dance, play and sing our way through the exploration of time, space and energy with a focus on fun. By providing creative dance opportunites for our children (ages 2-4 yrs. with parent) we help them build a core sense of body-self as the begin to master new movement skills. All you need is bare feet, comfortable clothes and readiness for fun!
7 week session:

III. DISCOVERY DANCE - SATURDAYS!
Looking for a fun weekend activity? Children ages 1-3 with a parent playfully explore elements of dance through movement, rhythm making and song.
6 week session:
